The Beetle (not to be confused with the Tiny, Scintillating, or Giant varieties) is a dog-sized insect with a black chitinous carapace. It may be encountered wandering randomly in many biomes. It is not aggressive toward colonists, and will flee if attacked, but it will cause damage to crops.
